Life above the Laundry-O-Mat
At the Suds and Duds,
It can be interesting,
Occasionally enough.
I live above the Mat,
But not for long, I hope.
I met this guy on the internet
Said he needed to do a load,
And so I chatted back,
So do your wash at the mat.
I don’t mind helping people,
But I think he’s a Wolfe or a troll,
Because he kept emailing back.
Ask me to go to Paris with him,
And I said, “What do you think I am,
The Lost-n-found board?”
Or something like that?
So I told him, when he showed up,
“Hey Mr. Wolfman, Don’t come back,
Looking for none of that.” I said.
“Check out the lost and found,
If you need some of that, maybe
Missing your wife, she’s not here,
But you might just find her there.”
So he finally he quit emailing me,
When I told him about my friend Dan,
And we both just laughed,
Because Mr. Wolfman’s wifey and I,
Do our laundry load together
Every Thursday at the Mat.
It’s the first time, I was asked,
I’d never seen anything like that,
But it makes me so happy to help,
And that’s all I know about that.
Life above the Laundry-O-Mat
It ain’t so bad, helping people,
When you get to know someone,
Just take time to chat with them,
No telling what you’ll find out.
Watch out for the wolves. There are many. Old wise saying. Be careful what you wish for. Wishes leave you hopeful and wishing upon the stars for beauty and sweetness that is to far away. I enjoyed the tale.

We need sweet dreams. Without sweet dreams. We would be empty. I posted one of my old poems. The sheep and the wolf. This is my number two favorite.

UK is cheaper to live. Basel is in the center of Europe. Can roam at-will. It is very costly. I spend vacations in the UK. Good drinkers and fun people. I’m back on babysitting duty. Taking grandson to see the horses. Talk to you later.
