What You Need
• 1 cup flour
• 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
• 1 pound ground beef, pork or vegetarian sausage
• 2 c Long grain rice
• 3 3/4 c Water
• 2 tps salt
• 2 tbs Butter or margarine

Create the litterbox “solids” first. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Using clean hands, mix the first three ingredients in a large bowl. Mold pieces of this mixture into various sizes and shapes. Place them two inches or more apart on an ungreased baking pan. Bake the solids for about 20 minutes or until they are all brown and firm.

While the solids cook, combine last four ingredients (the litter) into a large saucepan. Heat on high until the water comes to a boil. Stir, turn heat to low and cover the pan. Simmer without lifting the cover for 14 minutes.

Remove the saucepan from the stove and carefully remove the cover. Fluff the rice with a fork and set aside. When solids are done, carefully transfer them onto paper towels to drain. Spoon the rice and solids into the baking pan, leaving the “box” as your cat might. For the full effect, use a pooper scooper to serve.
