Choices of Reason

How do we measure distance
By how far we have traveled…
Maybe its more by what we gained
And not by what was lost.

Perhaps it is in the choices
we make, not to judge, taking responsibility, day in day out
Chin up, like it or not
It’s our own decision.

Our lives, friends, family, our jobs,
We should not accept blindly,
To understand not only with our eyes
But with our heart and mind
So it is to reason with the soul;
It’s about accepting
And our responsibilities.

It’s an understanding of wisdom
By a simple, but most profound,
For this wisdom is a choice
Accept it or not.

It’s our duty to rise above
Is an understanding of life, love and earth.

Simply reasoning; is a choice
Its a gift of Heaven.
