Life Above The Mat ~ Write more

Life at the Launderette
 At the Sultry Suds
It can be interesting,
Occasionally, enough.
I live above the Launderette now
It’s where I met my boyfriend,
Where I meet all my friends, and
My best friend, I fell in love there too.
Living above the Laundry.
It’s a place where we can share stories
And do more than just a load at time.
It’s a pub and suds, if you like to pop in,
To the Launderette for a wash and a buzz,
It’s close to where Jim Bob lives at,
We got married you know
He helps serve the drink and malt ales,
And helps for what other ails you might have.
But today, Jim Bob says I need to write more
And I say, “write more about what,” I said.
“I’m not an academic, or nothing personal or something like that”
I said.
“I have one or two many extracurricular activities that may or may not become part of my future you know.”
Like Choir, hiking, and baking are three of the many like that, I said.

I would have to schedule my day, I have quite a few technical things I have to do like that you know…

Besides writing like that is so technical and then there is everybody else’s opinion, or something like that.
So if I’m supposed to how am I can’t relax about that.

Then there is no time in the day,
When will we have time to sit down, kick back, you know,
And sip some beer, go upstairs and
Maybe hit it and get some of that like your always talking about that.

Not that is what I was looking for it when I say that you know
Don’t get me wrong, I like getting it And writing might become one of my greatest passions,
But I like sex too.
And I said, “What do you think I am”
Dr Seuss or something like that, I said,
“I can’t write like Green Eggs and Ham, Sam I am, I am not. I just run a laundromat.
My life here is simple although I did graduate college or something like that. Well, I do remember going if you know what I mean.
And so Jim Bob just laughed, then we laughed together until we both cried.
Then he said, “write whatever, he wants to make a movie out of it or something like that.”
Then when I heard him say that
that, I kinda got excited you know, so excited that I went down,
On my knees and unzipped him.
Well you know the rest if you know
What I mean.
How about it, it’s the first time
I’d ever seen anything like that,
I never went down on my knees before just because somebody liked the way that I write
And that’s all Im going to day about that.
So life goes on, Life above the Launderette,
It ain’t so bad, because I love Jim Bob,
And he loves me and it feels good too,
To have someone and something like that,
Somebody to love… If you know what I mean.
